Three buying models

Choose how the work gets done.

Classify the specific offering. One provider can span models; measurement can accompany either implementation approach.

Machine-layer delivery

Deliver a separate machine-facing representation without a mandatory rebuild of the human-facing website. A managed factual layer, edge optimization and a format-conversion utility have different scopes.

Customer work: Coordinate routing or installation, source access, content approval and freshness checks. Setup and ongoing governance depend on the offering.

Examples: AnswerShare, Adobe Optimize at Edge, Scrunch Enterprise AXP.

Website & content optimization / SEO+

Improve discoverability through published content, technical website changes and content or engineering workflows. The work can be agency-led or supported by software.

Customer work: Assign owners to create, approve, deploy and maintain changes. A large rebuild or platform migration is engagement-specific, not a requirement of this model.

Examples: Seer Interactive, iPullRank, Profound content / CMS workflows.

Rollback here means undoing implementation or configuration. It does not reverse AI answers or remove previously cached content.

Buying framework

Define success.
Then choose the work.

Define your goals.

Choose one or all three outcomes: visibility or mentions; citations that use your page or link as a source; and explicit recommendations for a buying need. Define the customer questions, target markets, starting baseline and success criteria for each goal.

Evaluate staffing and talent.

Assess the time and capability available in content, SEO, analytics and engineering. Name who will create, approve, deploy and maintain the work. Decide whether you can use existing staff, need to hire, or need the vendor to provide that work.

Set total budget.

Include software, implementation, content and engineering work, and ongoing labor. Dollar signs are restaurant-style estimates of relative budget, not quotes. Request a scoped total that makes both vendor fees and the work your own people must do clear.

Fit scope to goals, available people and budget.

Choose the monitoring, implementation or managed delivery you need. Match the proposal to your goals and the team's capacity, then agree the owner, deliverable and milestones for each part of the work.

AnswerShare

A maintained factual layer for AI retrieval.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

AnswerShare describes a managed system that expands and grounds a brand's factual record, structures it for retrieval and serves it through AI-facing infrastructure. Its offering includes entity resolution, source-linked assertions, approved media transcripts and FAQs. The managed program combines implementation and maintenance with AI-answer visibility, citation, recommendation and sentiment measurement. Separate request-level records track crawl activity by page and crawler.

At a glance

Target market
SMBs, midmarket brands and agencies seeking a managed service
Geographic coverage
Markets scoped per engagement
Language coverage
European and Latin languages; confirmed by AnswerShare.

Relative price

Relative price level 3 of 5Estimated managed-service budget

Custom pricing for a managed engagement. The $$$ placement is a publisher/founder-confirmed relative estimate of 3 out of 5, not a published monthly rate.

Price basis: Publisher/founder-confirmed relative estimate for this comparison. Engagement scope and a custom quote determine the actual price; no standard numeric rate is asserted.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workProvider-managed delivery and maintenance

This score assumes the managed service described in AnswerShare’s FAQ: the provider builds, operates and maintains the machine layer. No CMS migration, plugin, theme edit or visible-site redesign. Customers still provide source access, review content and coordinate one webhook and edge routing; one bicep reflects who runs the work, not zero onboarding.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
An AI-facing factual layer with edge routing and a webhook; no required CMS migration or visible-site redesign in the described managed service.
Ongoing owner
AnswerShare builds and maintains the layer and its answer and crawl measurement. The customer supplies access, reviews content and coordinates the initial integration.
Configuration rollback
Confirm offboarding and edge-routing rollback in the engagement. A specific rollback procedure is not established in this comparison.

What it delivers

  • Source-grounded brand content and entity relationships.
  • Machine-readable delivery, retrieval infrastructure and synchronization.
  • AI-answer visibility, citations, recommendations and sentiment over time.
  • Request-level crawl records by page and crawler, with millisecond-resolution timestamps.

Who it fits

Businesses seeking a maintained factual layer plus measurement of AI-answer outcomes and request-level crawl activity.

What implementation involves

Clarify source access, editorial approvals, CDN routing, synchronization and the ongoing responsibilities included in the engagement.

Public outcome evidence

LAVIDGE: top-ranked recommendations in 15 days

AnswerShare reports that LAVIDGE went from invisible to top-ranked and recommended on buying-intent (money) prompts across four of five measured engines in 15 days after deployment.

Recommendation evidence: For "Recommend an ad agency in Phoenix", the published audit lists Perplexity #1, Grok #2, Gemini #3 and Claude #4. ChatGPT also surfaced LAVIDGE.

Sentiment evidence: AnswerShare also reports a sentiment result for V Digital Services: after placing 10 cited complaints in the context of 12 years and 35,000+ clients, AI responses treated the low complaint count as a favorable signal, turning what had been a liability into an asset.

Limits: LAVIDGE: published fifteen-day engine audit. VDS sentiment: founder-reported case. This comparison is published by AnswerShare.

What to weigh

Evaluate the scope, operating effort and evidence as carefully as any other provider. A delivery implementation or signed receipt alone does not prove an improvement in recommendations.

Adobe Brand Visibility

AI visibility and optimization at the edge.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Adobe Brand Visibility, formerly LLM Optimizer, combines AI visibility analysis with tools for acting on it. Its Optimize at Edge capability can serve pre-rendered HTML and approved content improvements to supported AI agents through a site's CDN. The documented workflow includes previewing, editing, deploying and rolling back optimizations. Adobe belongs in the implementation comparison because its offering extends beyond monitoring.

At a glance

Target market
Enterprise marketing, content and web teams
Geographic coverage
Regional monitoring with state and city breakdowns; confirm engine/country coverage
Language coverage
More than 25 languages advertised

Relative price

Relative price level 5 of 5Estimated enterprise budget

Publisher estimate: 5 out of 5 for an enterprise Brand Visibility engagement. No numerical public list price was verified; Adobe provides a scoped quote. Confirm Optimize at Edge entitlement and implementation responsibilities.

Price basis: Publisher’s relative estimate, not Adobe-advertised pricing. The exact cost and the comparison with other enterprise quotes remain unverified.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 2 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workCDN setup, then edge optimization

Initial CDN integration and bot-access configuration require technical coordination. Supported edge optimizations then avoid origin CMS edits or a human-site redesign. Preview, approval, publishing and freshness checks remain part of the workflow.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Optimize at Edge serves supported changes to AI agents at the CDN, leaving the origin CMS and human-facing pages unchanged.
Ongoing owner
The customer coordinates CDN setup, then previews, approves, publishes and checks optimizations in Adobe Brand Visibility.
Configuration rollback
Adobe documents rollback of deployed edge optimizations. Initial CDN integration and access changes remain separate configuration responsibilities.

What it delivers

  • Brand visibility analysis and optimization opportunities.
  • Pre-rendering and AI-facing content improvements at the edge.
  • Review, deployment and rollback controls.

Who it fits

Enterprise teams evaluating AI optimization alongside their content, analytics and infrastructure workflows.

What implementation involves

CDN integration and configuration are required. Check supported agents, account eligibility and freshness handling; Adobe documents requirements such as Last-Modified for content optimizations.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported named-client results

Adobe reports that Slalom increased citations 10x in four weeks, and General Motors increased AI visibility 23% and citations 35% within weeks of deployment. Its accompanying account describes Slalom's digital-team work and GM's creation of content pages suited to LLMs. These examples appear in Adobe's Brand Visibility articles; the exact deployment module used for each result is not disclosed.

Recommendation evidence: These are citation and visibility claims. Neither example reports a separately measured increase in explicit recommendations for a buying need.

Limits: The reviewed articles provide no absolute citation counts, prompt panels, model versions or controlled comparisons. They are brief vendor reports, with insufficient detail to isolate the platform's contribution.

What to weigh

Compare the capabilities available to your account and agent mix. Deployment is evidence that a change was served, while citation and business impact require separate measurement.

Scrunch

AI monitoring meets agent content delivery.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Scrunch brings together monitoring of AI answers, analysis of agent traffic and its Agent Experience Platform. AXP offers AI-optimized content delivery alongside the existing human site experience. That creates direct overlap with the implementation problem buyers may be asking AnswerShare to solve. Compare delivery controls and maintenance responsibilities as well as the dashboards.

Relative price

Relative price level 1 of 5Core monitoring Β· $250/month

Published monthly monitoring price. Core does not include the Enterprise AXP delivery implementation.

Price basis: Public Core pricing; $ is the publisher’s relative monitoring-budget estimate, not a fixed currency bracket.

Relative price level 4 of 5Enterprise / AXP Β· custom quote

Estimated relative budget for the AI-facing content delivery layer and enterprise scope. No public numerical AXP rate was verified.

Price basis: Publisher estimate, not an advertised price or a verified customer quote. Confirm whether implementation and ongoing delivery are included.

Core monitoring and the Enterprise AXP delivery layer are separate buying scopes. The $250 monthly monitoring plan is not an AXP delivery price.

Comparison basis: Relative budget levels are publisher estimates. Core has a public monthly price; Enterprise/AXP requires a custom quote.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workMonitoringImplementation effort level 2 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workAXPAXP delivery needs CDN integration

AXP uses CDN routing and approved content while preserving the human site and CMS. Content review and update handling still need owners. Basic monitoring alone is lighter: one bicep; the two-bicep score here covers delivery setup.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Core monitoring needs no CMS edits. Enterprise AXP routes AI agents at the CDN and transforms existing pages while preserving the human-facing site.
Ongoing owner
Agree who approves AXP content and manages CDN routing. Live-page updates can be reprocessed; stored content needs a refresh process.
Configuration rollback
Confirm how to remove or bypass the AXP routing rules. The reviewed comparison does not establish a specific rollback procedure.

What it delivers

  • Prompt results, brand presence and citation monitoring.
  • AI agent traffic visibility.
  • AXP content delivery for AI agents.

Who it fits

Teams that want visibility into what AI says and does, plus infrastructure for changing the content agents receive.

What implementation involves

Evaluate the relevant CDN integration, source mapping, update behavior, approval controls and engineering effort for your site.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported delivery and agency-work examples

Scrunch reports a 364% rise in Akamai's brand presence on associated non-branded prompts after using Optimizer and AXP. Its December 1, 2025–January 19, 2026 comparison also reports 85% more citations for AXP pages than non-AXP pages. Separately, Scrunch reports that Strapi and agency GrowthX increased non-branded citations 226% in 12 weeks using monitoring, audits and optimization insights; that case does not establish AXP use.

Recommendation evidence: Neither case separately counts explicit buying recommendations. Brand presence and citations measure different outcomes from an endorsement.

Limits: These vendor-published accounts include customer testimony but no raw answer panel or independent verification. Akamai's page groups and content changes were not described as randomized; monitoring alone cannot receive credit for Strapi's implementation work.

What to weigh

Establish which capabilities and service responsibilities are included in the proposed package. Crawler visits and answer recommendations are different outcomes.

Profound

AI search intelligence and marketing workflows.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Profound combines answer-engine insights, prompt-volume research, agent analytics and marketing agents. Its current platform describes workflows for AEO, SEO, content and communications. Buyers should evaluate both the research inputs and the work those agents can produce, then identify how outputs reach production and who owns their quality.

Relative price

Relative price level 3 of 5Estimated platform budget; plans from $99/mo

Starter is the entry monitoring tier. Growth is $399/month; Enterprise is custom. Wider engine, workflow and geographic coverage depends on the plan. The annual option advertises two months free.

Price basis: Relative estimate for a broader monitoring/content workflow, informed by public Starter $99 and Growth $399 monthly plans. Enterprise is quoted separately. Confirm currency and annual terms.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 2 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workContent workflows need integration

Basic monitoring can start without modifying the site (one bicep). The broader workflow may connect logs, analytics and CMS publishing. Customer teams still configure integrations, review outputs and govern content changes; this score covers that broader workflow.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Monitoring can run separately from site changes. The broader platform can draft or rewrite content and stage it in connected CMS workflows.
Ongoing owner
Customer content and marketing teams configure integrations, review outputs and control publication and maintenance.
Configuration rollback
Publication rollback depends on the connected CMS and workflow. A universal rollback procedure was not verified.

What it delivers

  • Answer-engine and prompt research.
  • Agent crawl and interpretation analytics.
  • Marketing agents and content workflows.

Who it fits

Marketing teams looking to connect AI search intelligence with repeatable content and campaign work.

What implementation involves

Map integrations, review requirements and publishing responsibilities to your team's actual workflow.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported results with customer implementation

Profound reports that Airbyte's ChatGPT visibility rose from 9% to 26% in one week. Airbyte used Answer Engine Insights, Agent Analytics and GA4, then changed content, structured data and server-side rendering. Profound also reports that Aleph's citation share rose from 1.5% to 5.3% in two months using Agents, training and customer-led content and site-format changes.

Recommendation evidence: Neither case gives a separate before-and-after count of explicit recommendations. Visibility and citation-share gains should be assessed against those particular goals.

Limits: These are vendor accounts without controlled attribution. Airbyte's separate chart shows different values and dates that do not reconcile with its one-week claim; those chart dates are not used here. Exact result denominators and model versions remain undisclosed.

What to weigh

It would be inaccurate to describe the current product as monitoring alone. Verify each proposed workflow and distinguish vendor case studies from results reproduced for your business.

Measurement & intelligence

Peec AI

AI search analytics for marketing teams.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Peec AI focuses on understanding a brand's visibility, position and sentiment across AI search. Its product also surfaces sources and recommendations for action. This is useful when a team needs to identify the questions and citations that matter, compare competitors and organize the work to improve its presence.

At a glance

Target market

Monthly plans: Starter $95, Pro $245, Advanced $495; Enterprise by quote. Annual-billing equivalents shown: $80, $205 and $420 per month. Prompt allowances and additional models affect the total.

Price basis: Relative estimate based on published USD brand plans ($95–$495 month-to-month). Larger plans, added models and agency packages change the total.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workBasic monitoring; no CMS install

Add the brand, prompts, competitors and target country. Core monitoring runs outside the CMS. Optional analytics connectors add setup; your team or agency still implements recommended content and technical changes.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Core research and monitoring do not require CMS changes. Acting on findings can involve separate content or technical work.
Ongoing owner
Your team or agency configures the monitoring and implements the content or technical changes it chooses.
Configuration rollback
Monitoring alone makes no CMS edits to undo. Any implemented changes require their own rollback plan.

What it delivers

  • Visibility, position and sentiment tracking.
  • Prompt organization and competitor comparison.
  • Citation sources and recommended actions.

Who it fits

Teams with people or partners available to implement changes based on AI search research.

What implementation involves

Choose the prompts, markets and models relevant to the business; assign owners to the actions the research suggests.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported visibility and commercial outcomes

Peec reports that Heyflow's AI search visibility rose from 10% to 40% within weeks as agency Radyant used its analytics to identify buyer-prompt and content gaps. A separate Peec case reports a 7x increase in Merge's demo requests from LLMs. Merge's content lead used prompt and cited-page research to write and publish content; the software supplied measurement and insights.

Recommendation evidence: Heyflow's result measures visibility; Merge's measures attributed demo requests. Neither supplies a separately classified increase in explicit AI recommendations.

Limits: The cases are vendor-published accounts. Heyflow's exact dates and prompt denominator are absent, while Merge's absolute demo counts and comparison window are undisclosed. Customer content work and other changes prevent assigning the entire gain to the monitoring tool.

What to weigh

A monitored prompt panel is a defined sample of questions. Evaluate its coverage and the implementation effort behind recommendations before equating a dashboard score with market-wide visibility.

Price basis: Relative estimate for entry monitoring, based on USD Lite pricing. Premium and Enterprise programs can move into higher price bands; taxes excluded.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workBasic monitoring; no CMS install

Set up a domain, competitors and prompts to generate reports. Optional Agent Analytics adds log or edge integration. Content briefs and audit recommendations still require someone to edit, approve and publish the changes.

Ongoing owner
Your team or agency configures the monitoring and implements the content or technical changes it chooses.
Configuration rollback

What it delivers

  • Prompt and topic research.
  • Brand and website visibility monitoring.
  • Content audits, briefs and optimization recommendations.

Who it fits

Teams looking for ongoing AI search measurement connected to a practical content-improvement process.

What implementation involves

Confirm engine coverage, prompt limits, audit scope and who will create, approve and publish the recommended changes.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported agency case with a defined period

Otterly reports that Single Point of Contact, working with NOLA Marketing, increased brand mentions from 30 to 160 and citations from 665 to 3,617 between April and June 2026. The program used 64 final tracked prompts. NOLA created and published service resource hubs and Q&A pages using the monitoring and citation-gap findings, then reviewed and adjusted the content.

Recommendation evidence: The reported counts measure mentions and citations. The case discusses buyer intent but does not separately classify or count explicit recommendations.

Limits: This is a vendor-published agency interview. The exact answer denominator and consistency of the prompt/engine panel are not established, and the competitor set evolved. The results combine research with agency implementation; no independent control or raw answer archive is supplied.

What to weigh

Review the underlying answers and citations behind reported improvements. A suggested optimization is not evidence that it was implemented or that it changed an AI recommendation.

Ongoing owner
Your team or agency configures the monitoring and implements the content or technical changes it chooses.
Configuration rollback
Monitoring alone makes no CMS edits to undo. Any implemented changes require their own rollback plan.

What it delivers

  • Brand perception and competitor research.
  • Prompt discovery and daily tracking.
  • AI crawlability auditing and reporting.

Who it fits

SEO and marketing teams that want AI visibility research connected to a broader search toolset.

What implementation involves

Confirm the toolkit or bundle, countries, platforms, prompt limits and update frequency relevant to each report.

Public outcome evidence

Vendor-reported sentiment and referral outcomes

Semrush reports that WorkLounge's AI sentiment score improved from 67 to 82 over five months while its SEO consultant rewrote pages, corrected business information and coordinated technical and off-site work using Toolkit insights. Sentiment is a different outcome from visibility. A second Semrush account reports 429% growth in Army Surplus World's AI referral traffic after Coalition Technologies revised website and social messaging.

Recommendation evidence: Neither case supplies a measured increase in explicit buying recommendations. Sentiment describes how a brand is characterized; referral traffic measures visits attributed to AI sources.

Limits: These vendor-published implementer accounts do not isolate software effects. WorkLounge's sentiment panel details are undisclosed; Army Surplus World's absolute traffic baseline, time window and attribution rules are absent. They cannot establish comparable expected returns.

What to weigh

Reports can use different datasets and refresh cadences. Compare definitions and coverage before putting their scores beside another vendor's metrics.

Research the answers, sources and queries around a brand.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Ahrefs Brand Radar combines an AI visibility index with custom prompt tracking and analysis of answers, cited pages and search queries. Its product page also connects this research to referral and bot analytics. The buying question is whether you need broad market discovery, a specific tracked prompt panel, or both.

At a glance

Target market
SMB through enterprise search teams and agencies
Geographic coverage
International index and selectable custom-prompt locations; coverage varies by dataset
Language coverage
Country/language targeting; confirm the required engine and language combination

Relative price

Relative price level 3 of 5Estimated index budget; from $199/mo

AI Visibility Index access is $199/month for one platform or $699/month for all platforms. Separate custom-prompt packages start at $50/month; they do not buy the full index. Check allowances and overages affect the total.

Price basis: Relative estimate for paid index access, informed by published USD $199 one-platform and $699 all-platform monthly prices. Prompt-only tracking is a separate, lower-cost scope.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workResearch starts without CMS changes

Search the existing index by brand or domain; custom tracking adds prompts, platforms, locations and frequency. Research itself needs no CMS change. Your team or agency still turns the findings into content, technical or off-site work.

  • AI visibility research and custom prompts.
  • Cited-page, answer and query analysis.
  • Connections to referral and bot analytics.

Who it fits

Search teams researching which brands and sources appear in AI answers and where to focus their next content work.

What implementation involves

Confirm the relevant subscription, index access, custom-prompt allocation and separate analytics integrations.

Public outcome evidence

Named workflow case; quantified uplift not found

Ahrefs describes how Octopus Energy uses Brand Radar to replace manual AI-response research and coordinate visibility analysis across markets. Its named SEO specialist explains how reports inform content strategy, including standalone answer passages and topic clusters. The customer and local market teams still decide and implement the content work. This is useful evidence of an adopted research workflow, with no before-and-after outcome figure in the reviewed case.

Recommendation evidence: The case does not quantify recommendation, visibility, citation, traffic or revenue improvement. It therefore supplies no measured recommendation-lift result.

Limits: This bounded review found a vendor-published customer interview, not an independently verified impact study. Absence of a quantified result in the reviewed sources does not establish that no such case exists elsewhere.

What to weigh

An index and a custom prompt panel describe different samples. Neither should be presented as a census of what every AI user sees.

Seer Interactive

GEO strategy and experimentation from an agency team.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Seer offers GEO services within a broader search, analytics and marketing practice. Its public approach emphasizes understanding how AI represents a brand, testing interventions and connecting work to customer behavior. An agency engagement competes for a different mix of budget and responsibility than a software subscription, even when both pursue AI visibility.

At a glance

Target market
Enterprise brands and established marketing teams
Geographic coverage
US and international strategy; country scope by engagement
Language coverage
Localization scoped with the team; no comprehensive GEO language list verified

Relative price

Relative price level 4 of 5Estimated agency-program budget

Editorial estimate: 4 out of 5 for an enterprise agency program. Seer scopes diagnostic projects and broader programs individually; no public GEO retainer or project minimum was verified. A small diagnostic can cost materially less than a continuing program.

Price basis: Estimate inferred from enterprise agency scope, not an advertised price or verified proposal. Request a quote for the work you need.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 3 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workAgency-led; coordinated execution

An external team supports strategy, testing and implementation. Agree who changes content, handles technical work and approves releases; the program can involve your marketing, analytics and web teams. CMS or visible-site edits depend on the work selected.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
The selected program may change published content or technical website behavior. A mandatory rebuild or platform migration was not established.
Ongoing owner
Agree which agency and customer teams research, write, approve, deploy and maintain the work.
Configuration rollback
Rollback depends on the specific content, CMS and technical changes. Require a change and rollback plan in the scope.

What it delivers

  • GEO strategy and testing programs.
  • Brand representation and search analysis.
  • Agency expertise across related marketing disciplines.

Who it fits

Organizations seeking an external team to help define and execute a broader search program.

What implementation involves

Define the deliverables, implementation owners, reporting method, dependencies and scope of the engagement.

Public outcome evidence

Agency-reported result for an unnamed client

Seer reports a 344% increase in Google AI Overview citations and 414 new citations for an unnamed outdoor-living client after optimizing 11 articles. The work involved restructuring answers and aligning content with search intent. Seer describes performing the content optimization; ChatGPT appears as an analysis aid, while Google AI Overviews is the measured surface.

Recommendation evidence: The case measures citations, not explicit buying recommendations, qualified leads or revenue. The client's identity is not established by other names on Seer's website.

Limits: The impact box says five months, while the narrative says under two months; that timing remains unresolved. Absolute baselines, calendar dates and the query denominator are absent. This agency-published before-and-after account is observational, with no independent verification.

What to weigh

Ask which work the agency performs directly and which requires your internal team or other vendors. Evaluate ongoing results using the agreed business questions and period.

iPullRank

Relevance Engineering for enterprise AI search.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

iPullRank's Relevance Engineering services combine technical search work, content strategy and engineering, and AI-search measurement. Its agency programs address how content is discovered, understood and surfaced across search experiences. Buyers are engaging a team and a defined implementation scope, so the proposal should connect research and recommendations to the content, site changes and ongoing work the business needs.

At a glance

Target market
Enterprise and midmarket organizations
Geographic coverage
US client examples; country coverage scoped by engagement
Language coverage
Language and localization scope agreed in the proposal; no public coverage matrix verified

Relative price

Relative price level 5 of 5Estimated enterprise agency budget

Publisher estimate: 5 out of 5 for an enterprise Relevance Engineering engagement. No numerical public quote, standard rate or project minimum was verified. Content, technical implementation and ongoing service scope affect the total.

Price basis: Publisher's relative enterprise estimate, not vendor-advertised pricing or a verified proposal. Confirm which agency work and customer responsibilities the quote includes.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 3 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workAgency-led; coordinated execution

Content and technical implementation require agreed owners across the agency and customer team. Clarify who writes, approves, deploys and maintains changes and what access is needed. CMS and visible-site edits depend on the selected work; the score uses the same coordinated-implementation criterion as Seer.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Enterprise content and technical search work can change the website. The implementation scope does not establish a universal platform-migration requirement.
Ongoing owner
Agency and customer owners coordinate content, engineering, approvals and maintenance; roles depend on the engagement.
Configuration rollback
Rollback depends on the selected content and technical work. Confirm versioning, deployment ownership and reversal steps in the proposal.

What it delivers

  • Technical and content audits for search and AI discovery.
  • Content strategy, engineering and site-experience work.
  • AI-search measurement, prioritization and implementation roadmaps.

Who it fits

Enterprise and midmarket organizations seeking coordinated content, technical and AI-search expertise.

What implementation involves

Agree who creates content, makes site changes, approves work, deploys it and maintains it. Published cases involve content and technical changes; the reviewed sources do not establish a mandatory CMS migration.

Public outcome evidence

Agency-reported results for an unnamed client

iPullRank reports that an unnamed national US self-storage brand increased AI Overview visibility by more than 278% and AI-referred revenue by more than 21% in three months. The agency describes technical discoverability fixes, navigation and crawl-access work, content planning and an AI measurement roadmap. This is a coordinated agency implementation example; the published case does not separately identify every content author or deployment owner.

Recommendation evidence: AI visibility and attributed revenue are useful but distinct outcomes. Neither reported figure establishes a separately measured increase in explicit buying recommendations.

Limits: The client is anonymous, and absolute baselines, calendar dates, query samples and revenue-attribution rules are undisclosed. The case is observational and agency-published. Expected dollar returns and the agency's isolated contribution cannot be calculated from these percentages.

What to weigh

Evaluate the actual engagement and your team's available time. The staffing guide illustrates specialist functions and leadership for a GEO organization; it does not establish required new hires or the number of agency staff assigned to a contract.

Machine-layer delivery

Cloudflare Markdown for Agents

Conditional HTML-to-Markdown conversion.

Visit website (opens in a new tab)

Cloudflare can convert HTML to Markdown on enabled, eligible zones when the requesting crawler asks for it through the Accept header. This can reduce the amount of text an agent processes. It is a delivery feature whose usefulness depends on the requesting agent and the returned content. It does not establish a change in citations or recommendations.

At a glance

Target market
SMB through enterprise site operators and developers
Geographic coverage
Eligible Cloudflare zones; site and plan dependent
Language coverage
Converts existing HTML; does not translate or localize content

Relative price

Relative price level 1 of 5Low incremental cost; Pro from $25/mo

No added feature fee on eligible Pro, Business, Enterprise or SSL for SaaS plans. Pro is $20/month billed annually or $25 month-to-month, per domain. Existing eligible customers have no incremental feature charge.

Price basis: Relative estimate for the feature on an eligible Cloudflare plan. Pro is a prerequisite for the entry comparison; this price does not include a managed GEO program.

Implementation effort

Implementation effort level 1 of 4; 1 is least work and 4 is most workSimple toggle on an eligible zone

For a site already on an eligible Cloudflare plan, enable a setting; no CMS rewrite or visible-page redesign. Verify the converted output and whether target agents request Markdown. Moving a site to Cloudflare introduces separate DNS/CDN setup work.

Delivery and ownership

Website impact
Eligible zones can return converted Markdown when the requesting crawler asks for it. The feature does not require a human-site redesign.
Ongoing owner
The site or CDN owner enables the feature, checks the output and checks whether target crawlers request Markdown.
Configuration rollback
Confirm the feature-disable procedure and any separate DNS/CDN migration rollback. Those are different scopes.

What it delivers

  • HTML-to-Markdown conversion for requests accepting Markdown.
  • Token estimates for the converted response.
  • A format-delivery feature within eligible Cloudflare services.

Who it fits

Site operators whose target agents actually request Markdown, or developers who control that request behavior.

What implementation involves

Enable the feature on an eligible zone and verify request headers and response content. Current documentation includes HTML input and origin-response size constraints.

Public outcome evidence

Format-efficiency evidence; outcome uplift not found

Cloudflare reports converting its launch post from 16,180 HTML tokens to 3,150 Markdown tokens, approximately an 80% reduction. That demonstrates a smaller representation of this particular page. The documented feature serves Markdown on eligible enabled zones when the requesting crawler asks for it. The separate AnswerShare field study below examines whether observed agents made that request and what the serving rules returned.

Recommendation evidence: These sources measure token count, request preferences and serving behavior. They do not measure an increase in visibility, citations or explicit buying recommendations.

Limits: Savings depend on the content and request behavior. No qualifying outcome-uplift case was found in the reviewed sources; that limited finding does not establish zero effect or that no case exists elsewhere.

What to weigh

Cloudflare's launch example reports an 80% token reduction for its own post. That is not an 80% visibility lift. The field study below shows why agent request behavior matters before claiming a GEO result.

A closer look Β· Cloudflare

Does turning on Markdown improve AI visibility?

A smaller response can be useful. First establish whether the agents you care about ask for it. AnswerShare's August 17, 2026 research release reports the following observations across five participating properties.

0 / 1,277,965Explicit Markdown requests in the named frontier cohort
4,300,723Valid, deduplicated raw-header field observations
20,000Controlled serving-rule transactions reported

What the study found

The study's named cohort was GPTBot, ClaudeBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Meta-ExternalAgent. It recorded no explicit Accept: text/markdown request in that cohort. Its controlled serving test reported Markdown responses when that header was explicitly requested; HTML and wildcard requests received HTML. The practical finding: the conversion mechanism had no observed Markdown-delivery opportunity for this cohort in the recorded window.

The exceptions matter

Other observed request labels did ask for Markdown: ExaSearchBot in 67,538 of 68,209 requests, and Claude-User in 248 of 661. Claude-User is distinct from ClaudeBot. The result should never be summarized as 'no AI requests Markdown.' Cloudflare's launch also discusses coding agents, a different use case from assuming consumer search crawlers request the format.

What it does not establish

This is AnswerShare's published study, involving Top10Lists and four other properties. It measured request preferences and serving behavior, not changes to rankings or citations. User-agent labels are asserted identities unless separately verified. The zero applies to the declared cohort and frozen window; it is not a prediction of every agent's future behavior. The public report was reviewed here; this guide is not an independent reanalysis of the row-level dataset.

Before you buy

The questions worth asking.

Is a GEO platform the same as an SEO agency?

They can address overlapping goals with different deliverables. A platform usually supplies software and workflows; an agency supplies a team and an agreed scope of services. Check the actual implementation responsibilities in either proposal.

Do I need both monitoring and implementation?

You need a way to decide what to change and a way to make the changes. Those functions may be supplied by one provider, several providers or your own team. Monitoring alone does not establish that a recommended change reached production.

Does Markdown automatically make a site more visible to AI?

No automatic visibility outcome follows from a format change. With Cloudflare Markdown for Agents, the crawler must request the format. Even when delivery succeeds, citations and recommendations are separate outcomes to measure.

What is Adobe's new product called?

Adobe's current product is Brand Visibility, formerly LLM Optimizer. Its documented Optimize at Edge feature includes AI-facing delivery and content improvements, so it belongs in an implementation comparison.

Why is Cloudflare included with GEO companies?

Businesses may consider a content-delivery feature when deciding how to improve AI visibility. Including it makes the scope clear: a format-conversion feature has a different job from a maintained content program, marketing platform or agency engagement.

Does heavy crawler traffic guarantee that this guide will be cited?

No. Crawl activity shows requests to a site. It does not by itself demonstrate that a particular new page was retrieved, cited or used in a recommendation. Each of those outcomes needs its own evidence.

Who publishes this comparison?

AnswerShare publishes this guide and is one of the providers compared. It also produced the Markdown study. The publisher disclosure and linked sources make that relationship clear so readers can assess each claim.

What do the dollar signs and biceps mean?

The dollar signs estimate relative budget: $ is low and $$$$$ is highest, with half levels between bands. They are not fixed monthly dollar brackets or vendor quotes. Published prices and estimate sources appear in each profile. Biceps measure customer implementation effort: one means the least work and four means the most. Starting a monitoring dashboard, operating a managed service and implementing content changes involve different work; read the scope alongside each rating.

Does Scrunch’s $250 monthly plan include AXP?

No. The public $250/month Core price is for monitoring. AXP delivery belongs to the custom Enterprise scope. This guide shows $ for Core monitoring and an estimated $$$$ for Enterprise/AXP; the four-dollar rating is the publisher’s budget estimate, not a published AXP rate or a verified customer quote.

How should we compare our goals with case-study metrics?

Match each claim to the outcome you want. A mention shows presence; a citation uses a source; an explicit recommendation proposes your business for a buying need. Sentiment, referral visits and revenue are other outcomes. A case can support one goal without measuring the others. Check its baseline, time window, prompts, markets and implementation work before using it to set expectations.

Does iPullRank's staffing guidance mean we need eight new hires?

No fixed hiring requirement was established in the reviewed guidance. Its GEO organization diagram illustrates eight specialist functions plus leadership, not eight mandatory new employees or exactly two engineers. The useful buying question is which capabilities you already have, which the agency will supply, and who will create, approve, deploy and maintain the work. Confirm those responsibilities in the proposal.

Selection, evidence & transparency

How this guide was prepared.

This first edition compares eleven core providers, with CMS Markdown utilities listed separately. We classify the specific offering, so a provider can span more than one buying model. Inclusion reflects relevance to the buying decision. Vendor descriptions come from the linked first-party pages reviewed on September 15, 2026; buyer-fit guidance is our editorial assessment.

What we compare

  • The actual product or service delivered.
  • How a change is implemented and who maintains it.
  • The scope of measurement and access to supporting evidence.
  • Agent, platform and integration requirements.
  • Useful limitations and overlap with other approaches.
  • Buyer fit, geography and language scope, relative budget, published pricing and customer implementation effort. Target-market labels and effort scores are editorial judgments; provider-specific caveats and sources accompany them.
  • Public outcome evidence: reported metric, baseline and period where available, named or anonymous client, implementation owner and evidence limits.

Scope and limitations

This is a documented-offering comparison, with no hands-on efficacy test. Vendor and agency case reports are observational: metric definitions, prompt panels, engines and implementation work differ, so the reported gains are not an efficacy ranking. Public case sources were reviewed on September 15, 2026. A missing result in the reviewed sources is not proof that no case exists. Effort and relative-price levels are editorial estimates, not performance scores or standardized quotes. Public plan prices, publisher-supplied estimates and quote-only gaps are identified separately. Capability, packaging and availability can change; confirm them with the provider.

Source review date: September 15, 2026. Source links accompany each profile and the study discussion.
